This week we saw the North Division continue to increase their lead over the South, as they rose for the 5th time to 22.86. Again, if they playoffs were to start today, the North would have 5 teams, out of 8 moving towards the PTL crown. The north still sports the only undefeated team, while the South is dragging along two winless punks. If you'd like to write for this page, please post in the league message board, or send it via email to svegter@bellsouth.net WEEK 6 Analysis
First of all, we must congratulate the HP Lampshades on being the last undefeated team for the 2005 season. Now we need to see how long they will be undefeated. HP Lampshades vs. Mtnears! - The Lampshades
will face very tough competition from an almost bye-week free Mtnears.
The lampshades will be without their starting TE, K, and D. Due to the
fact that the those players aren't "essential", it will only
help their chances at winning the allusive 6th in a row. Looking back
to the history of these two teams, the Mtnears would've beaten the Lampshades
three out of five times. But within each week, it would have been very
close. This game is a very difficult call, but we believe at the PTL
home office that the Mtnears are too hot a team to be denied a win.
Watch for the Lampshades to lose by a slim margin. And now... back to those loveable losers That's My B*tch vs. Jurocks. - Given
that the Jurock team is all over the place in scoring, the B*tches have
a decent chance of making this a close game. Their underdog status is
mainly due to several of their players on bye-weeks, and if they replace
those positions they will get even closer to making this game respectable.
In the past, the B*tches would've won two out of five, so all these
indicators are positive in the their direction. The possible replacements,
such as Tony Gonzolez & L. Johnson are very high-powered players,
and would push them even closer to a "W". If Coach Vermillion
gets around to replacing these players, and we think he will, the PTL
believes that the B*tches will win their first game of the season The Culture Club vs. Barenjagers - Although
the B*tches have the best chance if they change their roster around,
the Culture Club has the best overall chance at winning their first
game if they simply sit there and do nothing. After much activity on
the trading block, we believe that the Culture Club will also gain their
first win of the season PT Riptides vs. Leviathans - The poor
Riptides got beat down in week 4 by the Jurocks and look to get the
same treatment by the South Division's #1 team, the Leviathans. Look
for the tides to be out and the PTL's worst team to be the last winless
team of 2005. |
Week 7
And then there still was one. Two more games and the Lampshades will be able to overtake the 2003 Jurocks in wins in a row from the start of the season.. HP Lampshades vs. Mad Max - Yet another week that the Lampshades will have to really pull something out of their sleeve to keep their win-streak alive. Both teams have most of their starters in the game, but the PTL has to lean towards keeping the streak alive. Look for the Lampshades to pull off another win over the Mad Max's in week 7. Then it's only one more week to tie the PTL Record! And now... back to those loveable losers PTL First would like to congratulate That's My B*tch for ending their losing streak in a magnificant manner, earning two PTL Weekly Records & scoring over 100 for the second time this season. Culture Club vs. PT Riptides - SOMEONE, yes SOMEONE will win this game. One of these two teams will be able to pull away with a "W" and the other moves on to PTL Futility. We believe, due to bye weeks and inactivity that the Culture Club will finally win and send the Riptides back to the sea. |
