From Week 3 As the Jurocks surged, they were able to block the Jagermeister's bid to remain unbeaten. Meanwhile, the North Division's Raleigh Lightning, Onyx, & Lampshades were able to escape a loss. If you'd like to write for this page, please post in the league message board, or send it via email to svegter@bellsouth.net WEEK 3 Analysis
Onyx vs. Inferno - The Onyx might have
a tough battle on their hands if they want to win over the Inferno.
Total points between each team is on ly 32.2 points, Much of the points
the Onyx has been able to score is due to their HUGE second game. Watch
the Inferno knock the Onyx over this coming weekend. Raleigh Lightning vs. Goo Crew - With
a difference of 76.7 points between these two teams, watch with confidence
as the Lightning shocks the PTL and continues their winning streak Lampshades vs. That's My B*tch - The
Lampshades have the toughest of all unbeaten teams this weekend as they
play the spunky B*tches. It will be a close game, but PTL experts are
predicting the Lampshades to come out with a lucky win. Jagermeisters vs. Jurocks - In the classic
3rd week battle, these two teams will meet again. After the Jagers beat
the Jurocks in the first round of the playoffs last year, the jurocks
are hungry for a win. But the Jurocks will have to overcome quite a
point difference (71.15), and the PTL experts all agree that the Red
and White will be victorious once again. One the other end.... The LOSERS PT Riptides vs. PT Bruisers - the Bruisers
are the hot team and with 69 points to overcome, the Riptides will be
3 in the hole after week 3 That's My B*tch vs. Lampshades - The
Lampshades have the toughest of all unbeaten teams this weekend as they
play the spunky B*tches. It will be a close game, but PTL experts are
predicting the Lampshades to come out with a lucky win. Barenjagers vs. Kryptonie - The Barenjagers
are the one winless team that will have a chance this weekend. With
only 9 points to overcome in the total column, as long as their team
shows up they might be able to finally get a "w" Culture Club vs. Leviathans - The Culture
Club has been very active on the PTL waiver wire & trading block
after week 2. But unfortunately this alone will not get them that win
they so desperately are seeking..

Week 4
As the Jagermesiters fell to the Jurocks in week 3, there are now 3 unbeaten teams remaining. Here is an update on their upcoming games Raleigh Lightning vs. Carolina Mud Dogs - As the 2003 PTL Champions continue their course towards the playoffs they now meet up with the seeminly unstoppable Raleigh Lightning. But there is a glitch in the Lightning game plan. Many of the players they had been relying on are now in a bye-week. 4 of their most important starters will not be playing this week, giving the Mud Dogs an important edge. We still expect the game to be close, but the Mud Dogs should come up on top. Expect the Lightning to continue their winning in week 5, just not in week 4 Tempered Onyx vs. The Culture Club - Although the Onyx also has starters on a bye week, they are retaining many of their most important scorers. The Culture Club has been struggling to find a groove (mainly because Chicago is in the same boat), and will not be able to stop the Onyx's winning streak, or stop their very own winless streak. Onyx should be 4-0 after W4, and the Culture Club should tie the PTL record of 4 losses in a row since the start of the season HP Lampshades vs. Goo Crew - in the classic High Point match up these two rivals will put their all into this game. The Goo Crew need the win to get back to .500, and the Lampshades are looking to continue their winning streak. We expect the Lampshades to be able to douse the Crew with some ampage and go into week 5 with yet another win. And now the losers..... Week 3 still had 3 winless teams. Here is an update on their upcoming games That's My B*tch vs. PT Bruisers - On paper this game looks like the PT Bruisers would be able to man-handle the B*tches, but in the match up there are several problems that could arise for the Green & Purple (Bruisers). If the Panthers do well, so do the Bruisers, If the Chiefs do well, so do the B*tches. The Panthers play the Packers on Monday night, and with the Pack 0-3 this season they will be playing with all their might to finally win won. In our opinion, so will the B*tches as they finally come up with a "W". PT Riptides vs. Kryptonite - Wow, you couldn't ask for a closer game. With a spread between both teams of only 2.1 points, it could go either way. So, we have to look at the players on each team. The Riptides seem to have all player in, and off bye-weeks. Unfortunately for them, however, is that several of their defensive players have been kicked off their respective teams, leaving them helpless in certain slots. The Kryptonite, on the other hand, has all but one player playing giving them the ultimate edge. Watch for the Riptides to continue their loss-streak heading into week 5. The Culture Club vs. Onyx - - Although the Onyx also has starters on a bye week, they are retaining many of their most important scorers. The Culture Club has been struggling to find a groove (mainly because Chicago is in the same boat), and will not be able to stop the Onyx's winning streak, or stop their very own winless streak. Onyx should be 4-0 after W4, and the Culture Club should tie the PTL record of 4 losses in a row since the start of the season |
