So far the North Division appears to still be the strongest division by far. With each team boasting at least a 1-1 record, they have all escaped that dreaded "Loss Streak" record. Meanwhile in the South, there are four teams chasing that alusive goal. The Riptides, That's My B*tch, Barenjagers, & Culture Club will need to win next week in order to stay out of the top 5 in Loss Streaks from Start of Season. On the other end of the spectrum, there are still four undefeated teams. Each one has to win two more games to tie for the Win Steak from Start of season. The Big News from Week 2 is that the Tempered Onyx was able to manage to get the team an unprecedented 154 + points. In a league with 20 teams and all the NFL stars spread so thin, it is quite an accomplishment. WEEK 3 Analysis
Onyx vs. Inferno - The Onyx might have a tough battle on their hands if they want to win over the Inferno. Total points between each team is on ly 32.2 points, Much of the points the Onyx has been able to score is due to their HUGE second game. Watch the Inferno knock the Onyx over this coming weekend. Raleigh Lightning vs. Goo Crew - With a difference of 76.7 points between these two teams, watch with confidence as the Lightning shocks the PTL and continues their winning streak Lampshades vs. That's My B*tch - The Lampshades have the toughest of all unbeaten teams this weekend as they play the spunky B*tches. It will be a close game, but PTL experts are predicting the Lampshades to come out with a lucky win. Jagermeisters vs. Jurocks - In the classic 3rd week battle, these two teams will meet again. After the Jagers beat the Jurocks in the first round of the playoffs last year, the jurocks are hungry for a win. But the Jurocks will have to overcome quite a point difference (71.15), and the PTL experts all agree that the Red and White will be victorious once again. One the other end.... The LOSERS PT Riptides vs. PT Bruisers - the Bruisers are the hot team and with 69 points to overcome, the Riptides will be 3 in the hole after week 3 That's My B*tch vs. Lampshades - The Lampshades have the toughest of all unbeaten teams this weekend as they play the spunky B*tches. It will be a close game, but PTL experts are predicting the Lampshades to come out with a lucky win. Barenjagers vs. Kryptonie - The Barenjagers are the one winless team that will have a chance this weekend. With only 9 points to overcome in the total column, as long as their team shows up they might be able to finally get a "w" Culture Club vs. Leviathans - The Culture Club has been very active on the PTL waiver wire & trading block after week 2. But unfortunately this alone will not get them that win they so desperately are seeking.. The Appalachian Recap: Max Mad vs. The Inferno Well an usually, a game that is suppose to be a close game, turned out to be a 21 point spread. Another record that was broken was that this was the team first time to have over 100 points in a game, 107.35 to be exact. When talking to head coach Maxtan Artis of the Mad Maxers, he said, "This was a great win for us. With us being an expansion team, we needed a win to make sure that everyone knew that we are still here and to know we are here to play. We also needed this win so that we would not have two losses to start the season. Also, The Inferno played a great game, but it was our time. I would like to thank Brett Favre for having a great game, and also Darnell Dockett, because the team seemed to have a few no shows and I made a few bad decisions on who should play. Hopefully I will learn will with my team, and we will win more games. On another note, I would like to say that I'm glad that I'm not playing Tempered Onyx last week because they whopped some butt. I don't know what got in McNabb, but I wish he could give my players and me some of that stuff." As you saw in the recap, Coach Artis was right because Ashley Lelie didn't show up to play along with Peter Warrick, but Brett Farve had a great game along with Nathan Vasher, the second year guy. Well this team is going to be a team to look out for the rest of the season. Go Mad Max. Reality Check After celebrating a first-week victory in its inaugural season in PTL, the Leviathans suffered a stunning defeat at the hands of a powerful Tempered Onyx squad. Mediocrity marked the performance of the Leviathan bench on both sides of the ball. “I’m disappointed in our work ethic,” coach Andy Atkins said on Wednesday. “Eli [Manning] made some good plays, but he also made a lot of mistakes. They wound up being costly.” The bright spot in the Leviathans roster as always was the kicking team. Jay Feely’s performance was superior, earning key points where they counted. The Leviathans are favored to beat the Culture Club in Week 3, but it will take a better effort than the team gave in Week 2. |
