Week 10
As we go into week 10 there are only three teams in the league that could lose a game and not sweat over making the playoffs. Those teams are the 8-1 Lampshades & Lightning, and the 7-2 Leviathans. The rest of the teams currently in the top 8 just need to win the rest of their respective games, but once you step across that line into the non-playoff teams, they are looking for a bit of help. With 5 games left to go before the PTL Playoffs, it's shaping up to be a mad dash to the finish line. Looking towards week 10 there are a few good matchups Mtnears vs. Leviathans - Last week the Big Blue Monsters
showed the league that they shouldn't be taken lightly, while the Mtnears
lost a heartbreaker to the Jurocks. In a very unusual game, the Black
& Gold only scored 78.1, their lowest tally of the season. The loss
couldn't have come at a worse time as they plummited two games from
playoff contention. With only five games left, they will need to step
it up. We believe that this week will be theirs as they take on the
#3 Leviathans. The Mtnears have nothing else to lose, giving them an
edge on this sunday/monday's games. PT Bruisers vs. Your Daddy - Two top 10 teams face off,
the loser will, more than likely, be one game out of the race. Both
teams did horribly in week 9, scoring below 60 points, and both losing
their respective games. Both teams have been scoring in the same range
the past few weeks, so this one is a bit harder to try and predict.
In the end we believe that a few select players will end up winning
this one, and we believe, in a very low scoring game, the Bruisers should
come out on top. Jurocks vs. Mad Max - Two teams struggling to get into
the playoffs. The Jurocks are one game out, while Mad Max is two. Just
like thunderdome, TWO MAN ENTER, ONE MAN LEAVE. If Mad Max loses this
game they will probably be toast for the 2005 season. They need this
win over the Jurocks in order to contend for the playoff race. The Jurocks,
on the other hand needs the win to continue to try to move forward and
into the bottom slot of the playoffs. With week 10 looking like certain
wins for many of the play-off bound teams, a win this week is needed
in order to continue the dream. Watch to see Mad Max's team to get eaten
limb from limb as their playoff hopes die with their flesh-torn half-eaten
