More
tid-bits about the end of Week 4 & Coming into Week
5!
1. This
week, the North averaged 82.2 points (down almost 7
points), compared to the South's 93.3 (up 41 points).
2. The
South Division is still looking
like the division to beat with a total score of 5010.9
a full 359.6 points higher (and growing) than the North's
4651.3
3. The
record between the two leagues in the Ghost Games is
North 8
- South
9
4. The
Raleigh Lightning was the only North Team to beat a
South Team in Week 4. The game they played ended what
the South thought was going to be a clean sweep. The
big week by the South league also climbed them back
into the winning seat between the Divisions
5. A
few of you guys mentioned that you'd like me to keep
track of my record of picking the Ugly Games & Upsets
of the week. I thought I'd keep a little journal here
for you. And NO... don't consider my pick for you to
win to be a curse!

6. 10
out of the possible 17 games the underdog beat the favored
team.... 10!!!!
7. Two
are left... Mtnears & PT Bruisers are the last two
unbeaten teams in the PTL. The Mtnears have an easy
week 5 bye week, while the Bruisers play a formidable
foe in Krypton Crusaders. Both teams have started their
climb up the Hall of Fame Winning Streak Ladder.
8. I
normally don't do a write up about a game between the
Divisions, but you should take a look at the Ghost Game
between the PT Bruisers and HP Lampshades. The spread
between the two is less than a point. The Bruisers are
on a roll, and the Lampshades aren't doin' bad either.
It might be one of those games that comes down to the
wire.
8. In
11 out of 16 Games that did not include Ghost Teams
the Underdog Beat the favored team....
9. The
Mtnears beat the Jurocks in week 4 to continue their
winning streak. In a game that was expected to be one
of the year's best it did not disappoint. The final
score was not settled until after Monday Night Football
when the Black and Gold barely hung on and won by only
0.15 points. One of the closest matches in PTL History!
10. 6
(SIX!!!!) Hall of Fame Records were set in week
4.
11. If
you are looking to help here is what I need
A. Someone to look through the games each week and pull
out the individual weekly award winners
B. Someone to take a look at the upcoming week's games
and, if there is something interesting to note, do a
write up
C. Someone to check to see if any Hall of Fame Records
are broken each week
D. General articles about the PTL, interesting
tidbits, fun stories. |
