THE
TOP 4
|
1. |

One
more week to beat up on the Lone Rangers and the
Bruisers take off to the playoffs. You can bet that
any team in the #8 spot is quivering in their boots
in the North Division. |
2. |
|
After
the Bruisers there is quite a space to go till you
get to the next best team. In the South, after looking
at PT, you would hit the Jagermeisters. After taking
a hit from an unexpected Hanso FC, they are now
looking at the ultimate match-up against the Muddogs.
This could be a Superbowl preview. The winner of
this game is #1 for the regular season. |

A
few switch-a-roos and a little trade has Hoy in
the middle of the race. Pretty much a shoe in whether
he wins or loses, he's got the third best score
in the North and five weeks in a row with over 100
points scoring. Never mind the actual ranking in
the league, this team will be one of the few challengers
able to try to take out the Bruisers. |
4(+2) |

The
Muddogs faced and won over the struggling Jurocks.
With a moral victory in hand, they now go up against
the #1 Jagermeisters in the battle for the top spot
in the South. |

Ouch,
the Mosul's easy ride through the season seems to
finally be catching up. With a 3 and 2 record against
the South, and a loss going into week 14 in the
North, they need to find those triple digits again
if they are going to survive in the playoffs. |
6.(+2) |
|
The
Lampshades are steamrolling through their easy end-of-season
schedule in the South and are now the 3rd highest
point team in the PTL. If they are able to keep
up their monster average, they will once again shed
a light on their opponents in week 15-17. |

|
Dropping
to the middle of the pack (5) with their loss in
the North, the Rangers are once again looking awfully
vulnerable. One week they score above 100, another
week it's 76. Who will we see when they make their
appearance in week 15? |
8.(-4) |
|
The
Jurocks are in a huge slump. It is now week 4 of
not getting into the triple digits and they should
be feeling lucky they got all their wins earlier
in the season. If they aren't able to put together
something soon, they are going to find themselves
exiting the 2006 season very quickly. |

|
Three
weeks with a win helps the Crew once again. Their
eyes set on the post season they are in cruise mode
until week 15. |
10.(+2) |
|
One
week they win, another week they lose. It's hard
to tell which way the team will go from week to
week. Without that consistency, they are hard to
rank. |

Muddled Middle

Somehow,
someway the Lightning have made it to the 8th spot.
At this point they need to win one more game to
secure the last spot in the North's playoffs, but
it's going to take another David vs. Goliath effort
as they go up agianst the #4 team in the league.
Even if they lose, they would need Swingline to
lose and they're in. The future might be bright
for PC! |

How
in the world is Leon doing it? They've lost 3 games
vs. the South, and 4 games vs. the North and yet
they're still #2 in the rankings. They might be
the sleeper pick in the North come playoff times. |
13.(-3) |
|
The
Crusaders lost their first of two games where they
need one to survive. Up against the Devils in week
14, they should be able to win, however, they would
need the Sabers to also lose in oder to stay in
the 8th spot. |
14.(+3) |
 |
The
Bigmaxers have quite a bit of catching up to do
if they are going to make the playoffs. They not
only need to win their final two games, they now
need a bit of help from the rest of the crowd to
squeak in at one of the final spots. |

There's
something wild about the final few weeks in the
PTL. Malibu's post season started last week with
a do or die win and they got their second one this
week. now they are fighting for their life against
Hanso for the #7 spot. Lose and they're out if the
Leviathans win (and they will) |
16.(+4) |
|
The
match up between Malibu's Most Wanted and Hanso
FC in week 14 is why we play this game. Here are
two teams struggling to get to the playoffs. Each
one with a win streak, Each one with a one-and-done
mentality. It's amazing to see some of the strength
that comes out of these fantasy matchups at the
end. |

|
The loss in week
13 really hurt the surging Sabers. Here they are,
the 3rd highest scoring team in the North, and
they can't even get into a playoff spot. They
now need help to make it into the post season.
With a win and a loss by the lightning they're
in.

Yet
another feel-good story coming out of the South.
You can bet that the Leviathans are going to be
glued to their television screens this Sunday as
they watch for their team to win vs. the Revolution
and watch to see either Hanso FC or Malibu lose.
This Cinderella team of 2006 would only need a win
to crack into the playoffs. pretty amazing to come
out of the cellar and find a way to get to the big
dance. |

I
think Corny has given up on a pretty good team.
With D. McNabb out, he now has to rely on a backup.
And with an autobid to the postseason, we'll have
to see if he wakes up enough to figure out how to
win consistently again. |

Hey
Andrew, just wondering where those thank you cards
are from the Wedding? ;) |

If
only the Mtnears could score 200 points more than
the Leviathans, and win their last game. They could
then get in the post season and defend their title.
Keith, you might want to start thinking about releasing
that beautiful trophy! |

Once
again the Bashers have dropped in the poll. With
4 Losses they are ultmately out of the competition
and out of the playoff race for 2006. See you next
year Derek! |
